A Regional CEDS Advisory Committee has been established to lead and monitor the development of the regional CEDS. The Committee is comprised of a wide range of private and public interests, including key business leaders and economic development professionals from each of the seven counties in Region J. The members of the Advisory Committee represent the main economic interests of the region; a majority of its members represent the private sector and business interests. The Advisory Committee also includes public officials, community leaders, representatives of workforce development boards, representatives of institutions of higher education, minority groups and others.
A 15-member Technical Review Subcommittee lends knowledge, expertise and interest to the more detailed work throughout the CEDS process. A much smaller Steering Committee meets monthly to oversee the various steps in the process and closely guide progess of the plan.
