ECC’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Online Regional Assessment

The Eastern Carolina Council is a local government planning and development organization serving the counties of Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, and Wayne. We are participating with other regional councils in a statewide effort that will make N.C. more sustainable and resilient – NC Tomorrow – Building Communities for Tomorrow’s Jobs. Our partners in this process are: the US Economic Development Administration, US Housing and Urban Development, NC Department of Commerce, National Association of Development Organizations, National Association of Regional Councils, and the SAS Institute in Cary, NC. The first initiative of NC Tomorrow is to develop uniform Regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies across the State and then roll those up into the a comprehensive strategy for North Carolina. We hope this document will maximize local, state, and federal resources, providing our region and North Carolina with a “blueprint” for common sense, sustainable economic development strategies that will create jobs for our citizens while conserving the natural resources that make North Carolina the special place it has always been…a place where companies can thrive and grow their business, and where families want to live. As a community and regional leader, we need your input early into the planning process. We know your time is important and we value your participation, so we have developed a survey that will only require about 10 minutes of your time. We encourage you to join us in this statewide process to help North Carolina strengthen the state’s resilience, grow our economy, and create jobs for our citizens.  To access the survey:  CLICK HERE
